Sowing a New Lawn
Weed Control – Spray perennial weeds with ‘Roundup’, annual weeds can be removed by tilling.
Soil Preparation and Fertilization – It is recommended to enrich the soil with compost + then fertilize with Ecogan Starter (1.25 kg per 50 m), level the ground, break up clods with a rake, spread Dizidor to prevent soil pests, and finally incorporate everything using a rake.
Sowing – Spread the seeds manually or with a fertilizer spreader, and by lightly raking to a depth of 2-3 cm incorporate the seeds and cover them to prevent drying out.
Watering – Water 3-5 times a day (water more on hot, dry days) until after seed germination and establishment.
Post-Sowing Care – Do not step on the seeded lawn for 3-4 weeks after germination. Be sure to keep the soil moist. First mowing should be done when the grass reaches a height of 8 cm, and later can be lowered to 5-6 cm. Two months after sowing, it is recommended to fertilize with ‘Green Lawn’.
Restoring an Existing Lawn
This action is done to fill bare spots in existing Tall Fescue lawns: mix the seeds with sand in a bucket, and spread over sparse areas. After spreading, keep the seeds moist until germination by watering frequently throughout the day. It is recommended to carry out restoration during transitional seasons (spring and autumn)
